Rev. Dr. Gordon Sutherland
Interm Lead Pastor
Pastor Gordon began his ministry at SRUBC in August 2025.
For the past eleven years, Pastor Gordon has served as an Intentional Interim Pastor in 5 churches in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia helping congregations navigate the transition period between pastors. Pastor Gordon loves to see the local church thrive in its mission as God's people especially as the church seeks to call a new senior pastor.
Gordon and his wife Sandy, have two adult children and two grandsons who they love spending time with. Gordon enjoys travelling which allows him to celebrate the beauty of God's creation. Gordon also loves to be in his woodworking shop creating everything from toys to Christmas decorations to furniture.

Pastor Rodney Steeves
Interm Lead Pastor
Pastor Rodney began his ministry at SRUBC in November 2025.
​
He is passionate about engaging youth and families about God's mission and helping them discover the power of the Gospel to transform lives. Before joining Stevens Road, Rodney served at West End Baptist Church as a Student Pastor and Summer Student while completing his Master of Divinity at Acadia Divinity College.
Rodney and his wife Rebecca were married in July 2025 and make their home in Dartmouth. When he’s not serving in ministry, Rodney enjoys fishing, gardening, watching sports, drinking coffee, keeping up with current events, and spending time with his wife. He is excited to walk alongside families and young people as they grow in faith, community, and service together.
